I am a marketer, blogger, speaker, communicator, thinker, connector (people & dots), adjunct professor and Community Manager for MarketingProfs.
I started my marketing and communications career many moons ago when companies barely had e-mail and websites. I guess you could say experienced Web 1.0 first hand, which was followed by a mad dash towards integrated marketing communications and SEO/SEM. Today, I am actively engaged in the social media conversation.
I also speak at industry conferences and events where I speak about marketing, public relations and social media. I am also an adjunct professor at Immaculata University.
Being a firm believer in “walking the walk to talk the talk,” I share a healthy dose of opinions and observations…and rants here at The Harte of Marketing. You can also find me blogging over at the Marketing Profs’ Daily Fix.
My street cred includes 15 years of marketing & communications experience, a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from Chestnut Hill College and a Master of Science in International Marketing from Saint Joseph’s University.
And just so you don’t think my whole universe revolves around marketing (well, a large portion does!)… I am also interested in history, reading (mainly historical literature and, yep, books on marketing and business), the arts, movies, culture, bicycling, cowgirl boots, beer, travel, scarves and politics.
This blog is mine alone and the views shared here belong only to me (well, and the people who comment). That said, I don’t ever plan on leaving my marketing smarts at the front door when I go to work.
