@markgoren, see, this is why social media works! You just found a camera that’ll work in a way you need it to because @pchaney gave us the skinny on another cool product. Me, I am PC-based (still waiting for the Mac Fairy to arrive), so the Flip will work out just fine and the Flip tripod is a must have for me…

Wait a minute, just saw that the Small Wonder EZ105 is Mac compatible.

So there you go, now there’s no problem giving these to customers for promotional purposes or otherwise.

Hi, Beth:

I love the idea of the Flip video (and all other small camcorders, for that matter), but my one problem is that they don’t seem to be easily compatible with Macs. I think there are workarounds, but, still, not perfect or easy. (Correct me if I’m wrong. Anyone?)

@pchaney, thanks for the tip! I am going to check into the Small Wonder a bit more. To me, the most important thing is video quality. So, I’ll need to do a comparison between the two. Paul, I’m assuming that you have a Small Wonder. If so, could you share video samples with me? I’d like to see the quality. That would be much appreciated.

Like Twitter, the Flip has received the greatest amount of buzz. However, like Plurk, the RCA Small Wonder truly is a better camera. It offers features the Flip doesn’t such as a movable screen and SD expansion card slot for increased memory. The newest versions allow for instant uploads to YouTube, just like the Flip. Oh, and the Small Wonder is less expensive.

But, hey, if people want to spend more for less just because the Flip is “cool,” by all means, be my guest!
